Ruston VSH, will it eat VVO?
« on: December 12, 2008, 05:20:20 PM »
I've been offered a single cylinder Ruston VSH in VGC. It's been a stand-by unit somewhere and apparently it was never needed. Google is telling Ruston and Lister had some kind of co-operation in pre-war days and some of their products had similarities. The VSH range is direct-injected. Does this rule out the use of VVO as fuel? The Ruston will reach 1500 rpm, this will, I guess, affect the longevity? I'd like to generate electricity and possibly heat, so maybe I'll keep searching that CS?

Contact Ray Hooley, he's the Ruston guru in england, here's the old engine site with his info.
