Recent acquisition

 Hello, just recently picked up a Fieldmarshal 12/2 with a Powersolutions gen head. I got it from my neighbor who is currently downsizing his life. Its been sitting for many years in his shop. Got it back to the shop and aside from needing some cleanup and maintenance it appears good. Two questions for those who can answer. I was wanting a little schematic of the genhead if anyone has one. Its a 7.5 KW 1800 rpm. Its beastly large. My neighbor never actually used this whole setup much. He took the cover off the head and wired one outlet to it and ran a fan occasionally.....wow!... anyway... I was also wondering if anyone knows of an oil filter conversion that works on this engine? Its a 12/2 as stated but I can't seem to find much about it. It seems the twin cylinder model wasn't or isn't as popular as the single cylinder. That's all.   Thanks for any input here I appreciate it.

I'm just guessing, but that generator head MAY be a ST-type?  Under the cover, does it have brushes?  If so, you'll be able to find ST-type wiring diagrams around. 

Now, as to the oil filter, I have skinned that cat.  I use a toilet-paper filter on mine, and it works FINE, despite what some young bucks believe.  The matter of plumbing CAN be onerous, but if you can bend some copper tubing, and figure out a couple compression fittings, you can plumb it into the left-hand lifter locator bolt.  If you've got a lathe, it's easy.  If you've got a friend with a lathe, it's easy.  If you don't have a friend with a lathe, then you need more friends. 

Mind you, this entire idea came from 38AC.  The work, I did myself.  The brains, he did.  And he's used a plethora of these.
