Hi all,
I have a Lister ST2 driving a Brush generator that only has slip rings, the generator has a 12 volt starter motors and a belt driven 12 volt generator so its different from the version that has a commutator to turn the main generator into a starter motor with decompression.
I converted this unit from when it had the old Selenium type of rectifiers to modern bridge rectifier's about 20 years ago and recently it stopped outputting. One of the wires from the smaller bridge rectifiers has broken off but there is also a vaporised component that was between two of the legs which you can see the remains in the attached photo. I can't for the life of me remember what that component was. A small diode or capacitor?? I will be testing the rectifier tomorrow to determine if it is still good but I have a spare so will change it anyway and replace the cable.
If anyone has a schematic I would also appreciate it.
